21 Trade Offer Memes (I receive, You receive): Template & Examples
The "Trade Offer" or "I receive, you receive" meme is a popular format for joking about unbalanced deals.
It started on TikTok in March 2021. A user named @bradeazy made videos that used a jingle from the 2020 NBA Draft to parody trade proposals from video games. These videos turned into the image template we know today.

The template is very simple. It always has two parts:
- I receive: (Something good or specific)
- You receive: (Something silly or useless)
The humor comes from the trade being extremely unfair. For example, "I receive: Your full Credit Card number, expiry date and that 3digit code on the back. You receive: 7-day free trial." This absurd inequality is what makes it funny.
